Sygna, under the direction of its partners, Professor Jean-Marc Thouvenin and Andrés Villegas, acts as a counsel and advocate for sovereign States in public international law disputes before numerous international courts and tribunals. It also assists public operators, companies, and individuals in their transnational disputes. In recent years, Sygna Partners has represented African, Middle Eastern, Asian, Latin American and European States before the International Court of Justice, the Permanent Court of Arbitration, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, the Court of Justice of the European Union, and Annex VII Tribunals constituted under UNCLOS.
